Pinned topic Inquisitor Import - Multiple DB2 Threads

‏2013-04-29T16:34:27Z |

Hi,

We are using TADz 7.5 and during the processing of Inquisitor Import to DB2 database, its noticed that there were many (around 50) db2 threads created for the import. Does the Inquisitor job create multiple threads? If yes, why?

Thanks,

Sujith

    Hi Sujith

Can you cut/paste a display of the Inquisitor Import threads that are running for TADz.  It's not possible to run concurrent HSISIQIM jobs accessing the same repository - it's automatically serialized so only the first job will run and others will fail.  However, if you're running multiple HSISIQIM jobs accessing different repositories (different databases) then that is okay.

    Hi Tony,

Sorry for not getting back on this earlier. I assume it shows up multiple threads, since the HSISIQIM job has multiple steps in it to load the Inquisitor data collected from 10 lpars.

    Thanks, Sujith
