our production environment currently runs with ISW 9.7.2 with 2 WAS profiles (WAS RHEL 5.9, DB2 9.8 RHEL 5.9)
We intend to upgrade to 10.1 so we tested the new one with liberty profile 10.1.0.2 - awesome (no WAS) !
Installation ok - migration ok up to the ressources (some manually work). Also the 2 "profiles" with the new liberty configuration work.
Admin Console Start within 10 sec !!!
It woks fine in test environment !
But some questions:
*) Installation of new control DB requires local DB server? we use a distributed environment - not really a problem just use a restore of an existing on the DB server
*) Presentation of Admin Console with Internet Explorer 9 is not really nice (scroll bars, flicker of text boxes, ...) with Firefox it's ok. Any hints or recommendations?
*) Do you have any performance benchmarks 10.1.0.2 vs. 9.7.2 (our processes are triggered via OPC/TWS and whcommand)
*) What's about stability - Is 10.1.0.2 stable enough for production ?
*) the logfile prefix which was configurable within 9.1 is since 9.2 still automatically gererated. (have to override it after each deployment) any possibility within admin console ?
*) other hints/tips ?
Would be glad to hear about your experiences...
