I have set up single drive edition ltfs host with following packages:
kernel is latest RedHat provided kernel
2.6.32-358.14.1.el6.x86_64 #1 SMP Mon Jun 17 15:54:20 EDT 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux
Red Hat Enterprise Linux Server release 6.4 (Santiago)
Aim is to use IBM TS1140 tape drive as multipath device with lin_tape and write data into the tape through ltfs-mount.
Lin_tape multipath setup seems to be valid:
lin_tape version: 2.1.0
lin_tape major number: 244

lin_tape kernel user loaded kernel module options are following:
options lin_tape alternate_pathing=1
options lin_tape tape_reserve_type=persistent
options lin_tape lin_tape_debug=1

failover while primary FC-path disappears to alternate FC-path works smoothly and I/O into the tape continues as it should. However problem is that when I/O is ongoing into the ltfs-mounted tape, the recovering FC-path kills the whole server. Nothing revelant is present on the syslog, latested kernel trace lines on server console complain something about scsci_fc_host... and server reset is needed to recover the server.
Has anyone succeeded to set up multipathing lin_tape environment with IBM ltfs?
