Pinned topic Using Maven Liberty plugin to deploy to remote WAS

‏2013-08-16T13:17:34Z |

Hi,

Is it possible to use the Maven liberty plugin to deploy to a remote WAS 8 server.

I have tested my WAR on my local Webshpere Liberty using Maven and everything works great!

But now I want to deploy to a remote WAS with Maven. How can I change the plugin to deploy to a remote WAS server.

            <plugin>
                <groupId>com.ibm.websphere.wlp.maven.plugins</groupId>
                <artifactId>liberty-maven-plugin</artifactId>
                <version>1.1</version>
                <!-- Specify configuration -->
                <configuration>
                    <serverHome>C:\Development\wlp</serverHome>
                    <serverName>defaultServer</serverName>
                    <appArchive>${project.build.directory}/MyService.war</appArchive>

                </configuration>
            </plugin>

    Hello,

    Do you mean deploy to a remote liberty server? Or a remote regular WAS server?

    If you mean a remote liberty server, this is not supported. Only local deploy is supported.

    And if you mean a remote regular WAS server, this plugin does not support deploying to WAS (either local or remote).
