Pinned topic How to fix Director 6.3.2 x86_64 keystore tampered with ?

When Director 6.3.2 starts up on Windows, the startup fails on below error in $install_root\lwi\logs\*

2013/07/25 13:48:05.487 SEVERE CWPWC0003E: Error occurred while initializing transport. java.io.IOException: Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect ::class.method=com.ibm.ejs.ras.Tr.logPossibleThrowables() ::thread=CoreKernelServiceTrackerInitThread ::loggername=com.ibm.ejs.ras

java.io.IOException: Keystore was tampered with, or password was incorrect        at   com.ibm.crypto.provider.JavaKeyStore.engineLoad(Unknown Source)

We have tried re-installing a self-signed certificate, shut down DirServer, then rename webcontainer.properties to sslconfig, editing it and putting a cleartext password in, delete line "ssl...=true", rename the properties file under CMD removing the suffix, but the error persists.

Is there a way to reset Director to use the originally installed self-signed certificate again ? Or another way to fix

this, or perhaps I left out a step ?
