Pinned topic Export Document To FileNet P8 Based on the Property Value

‏2013-10-09T09:56:38Z |

Hi All

I have the following directory structure in P8

EXPORT(Main folder)

->network1 (subfolders)
->network2 (subfolders)
->network3 (subfolders)

There is a field in my application called "BranchName" which is having the drop down values(network1, network2 ,network3) from the SELECT query.

Now when the data entry operator selects BranchName as network1 then the document should be exported to network1 folder in FileNet P8,same for the rest i.e network2 and network3.

How can this process be implemented ??

I used FnP8_SetdestinationPath(/EXPORT/@BranchName/) but the export failed.

Thanks & Regards
D.Shetty

    FNP8_CreateFolder(@D.fieldname)

    FNP8_SetProperty(Attritbutename,@D.fieldname)

    repeat of all sub folders .

    this may be not 100 % but your problem will be solve almost in these actions

    Thanks

    Hi Ever

    Thanks for the reply.

    I have many subfolders inside network1, network2 and network3.The structure is same in the 3 folders.
    If there is a folder like say "Loan Approved" in network1, And the client wants to export it into that specific folder i.e "Loan Approved".
    How can we set the path dynamically ??

    i.e depending on the value recieved from the BranchName at the time of Verify step

    The main difference between these folders i.e network1, network2 and network3  is that they are 3 different_types of BranchName.

    regards

    Dear Ever

    The screenshot shared is helpfull thanks.

    Can smart paramteres be used in FnP8.SetDestinationFolder() ??

    Example : I am trying to execute the following action but it is throwing error:
    FnP8.SetDestinationFolder(/FolderName/@D.FieldName/Loan). According to the log, @D.FieldName is not giving any output.

    Open your Export.xml check your @D.FieldName is containing value or not ?  if there is no value then how its generate a foldername you asking for ! @D.FieldName should be filled .

    Thanks

    Hi Ever

    I found the solution, actually the destination folder has to be set as:

    SetDestinationFolder(//FolderName/+@D.Type+/)

    Thanks for the help.
