Pinned topic Database Tookit : any planned support for JDBC interactions?

‏2013-09-13T16:01:15Z |

On my project, there is a set of data that I would like to reference in the style of the ODBCEnrich Operator. Other areas (non-Streams) of the project are accessing the Hive model using JDBC.

From what I can tell, that's not an option for me out-of-the-box (the database toolkit seems to be ODBC based, understandable since this is compiled code rather than a JVM). I can follow up to see if there's a way for them to provide me with an ODBC-style interface rather than JDBC, but as a more general question as I was speaking with our project architect, we wanted to find out if there were plans or features already in place to make working with JDBC easier (or would you have to craft your own Custom Java operator).

Thanks in advance for any information you can give about JDBC usage with the database toolkit or something similar to the database toolkit.
