Pinned topic Error in WAS

I am getting one error in WAS:

 

[4/21/13 13:05:50:806 IST] 0000003a ConnectionEve A   J2CA0056I: The Connection Manager received a fatal connection error from the Resource Adapter for resource jdbc/ndhiwchi. The exception is: java.sql.SQLException: Protocol violation: [32]

Somebody please help in getting the resolution.

    It would be helpful if you would also include the version of WebSphere, which DB you are connecting and which driver and version of the driver you are using.  Does this happen right away or after time?  Any stack trace information would be helpful, too.
