Pinned topic CC 7.1.2.x and SEP 12.x

‏2013-11-13T20:01:44Z |

Trying to find out if the known issues between SEP 12.x and CC 7.1.2.x causing BSOD's still exist, or have been resolved with more recent versions.

I am trying to get more info but from what I can tell this may still be a show stopper (in relation to dynamic view usage with CC).

I was aware of a known issue with Beyond Compare, but digging deeper it looks like some other issues came up this year that may not have been resolved yet.

Any details would be great, thanks

-Paul

The issues still exist. If you are having crashes, please open a PMR so it can be investigated by support.  There may be workarounds, etc for the issues.

The major problems are with Symantec 12.1.2x and later.

Thanks.. I have a PMR opened with support.

Turns out the 'move' command also causes the BSOD, so it is more serious than I first thought (with just a Beyond Compare concern initially)

Sounds like there is no quick fix planned here other than workarounds, both of which are not feasable for us (don't upgrade SEP, or use local dynamic views).

Very frustrating! ...Will look into escalation possibilities here.

    thanks again

The development team is focusing on getting a fix for the issue as soon as possible.  There is no exact date but it is expected to be out in the near future.

I just wanted to add that the fix will be in 8.0.0.x and later.  There will not be a fix on 7.1.2.x.

    Thanks!

Testing it now with 8.0.1.01 - I can't seem to reproduce the issue (moving a file) ? Was it already fixed in this release??

No it wasn't. It is a major architectural change that is going into  8.0.0.x and 8.0.1.x.
