Pinned topic Pre-1.2 Script expression not visible in 1.2

‏2013-06-13T13:57:38Z |

The attached template has a script expression to set the first row of the table to be grey

The template was developed in an older version of RPE but is now in 2.0 format (RPE 1.2)

The cell element background colour property is set by a script. The script works and its presence is indicated but it cannot be seen or edited.

Any ideas if this can be fixed?

    Hey Sean,

    the cell background color property does not have a script associated with it but the "<script>" plain text. Running it here shown a table where all the rows are the same. But you should also check the style set on the text element as its possible that that one tricks you into believing that the script works.

    Hi Dragos,

    As you say the script now does not work (since I went in and looked at it and saw it was blank it seems to have broken it).

    It used to work in 1.1 and I could see the script.

    In 1.2 with template migrated to V2.0 it still worked but after I went into the property to view the script (and saw it was blank) it stopped working.

    Attached is the original 1.1 template

    If this is an effect of migrating to 2.0 then it might be an issue.

    Hey Sean,

    I can see and edit the script you defined for "cell background color" just fine using RPE 1.2.0.1:

    if (TableFirstRow == "1")
    {
       "C0C0C0"
    }

    Hi Dragos,

    this has been investigated under [PMR 51084 999 616]

    It seems that the script can be viewed and edited using the

    >Properties>Advanced>Formatting>Color>Cell Background

    editor

    but if the scripts is viewed using the alternative

    >Properties>Color>Cell Background

    then the script is lost/deleted somehow

    It will leave the string value '<script>' but there will be no actual script.

    Hey Sean,

    indeed, there is a defect with using the new properties view.  I was using the advanced properties in my tests.
