Pinned topic Misdetection of Critical Events after upgrading Director server from v6.2 to v6.3.3

‏2013-06-26T05:39:01Z | 6.3.3

Hi,

I have a critical problem after upgrading my Director server from v6.2 to v6.3.3.

I get a lot of notification alert on the following events as a critical event after the upgrading of v6.2 to v6.3.

1. Power LED ON

2. BMC Heartbeat LED ON

After doing some research on the net, I found out that the there is a problem issue with the similar symptoms which I'm having now.

Title: IC84686: IMM incorrectly categorized certain LEDs as critical IMM issue.

Link:  http://www-01.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=isg1IC84686

It mentioned that the misdetection problem can be solved with patching up the Director Update 6.3.1.1.

So, I updated my Director server to 6.3.3 which its version is far higher than the recommended version.

The Power LED ON event is not misdetected after this patching up but the BMC Heartbeat LED ON is still remaining with lots of notification alert whenever I restarted my Director server.

Anyone got any idea on how to solve this problem? Or if there is anyone who is facing the same problem, please share.

Thanks,

Nicholas

It seems that this problem is only happening to servers with IMM Firmware version YUOO91K(02/09/2011).

Anyone is facing this problem too?
