Coming to your second question, buffering is something that happens to the packets as they are travelling to and when inside your datapower. When many IP packets are arrive at datapower, it is difficult to process all of them and perhaps there might be a congestion. When congestion occurs the packets are placed inside a buffer until they are needed by the program or a complete section is ready to be played or the computer has time to process the packet. Streaming a message is when you start processing the message without having the entire message. Streaming messages uses buffering to hold the data until it is ready to process it.

We have successfully connected dp to Virus scanner and working perfectly and able to scan all content types including external attachments. Let us know if you need any help.
