Pinned topic Delete Data Type from backend server of tbsm

‏2013-08-23T12:50:04Z |

Hi All,

Can anyone tell me how to delete a data type from command line of tbsm v6.1.

Problem Scenario-

1-I created a DataSource named "FlatDataSource" using project "TBSM" from Data Model tab from TBSM GUI.

2-I created a DataType named "FlatDataType" for the DataSource "FlatDataSource" from TBSM GUI.

3-Now I deleted DataSource "FlatDataSource" from TBSM GUI.

Now I am not able to delete this DataType from TBSM GUI as it is not visible while on server it is at this path...TBSMHOME/etc/TBSM_FlatDataType.type

when i want to delete this from this path "TBSM_FlatDataType.type" coming automaticaly after restarting server.

Thanks in advance

wxyzabc

    Hello wxyzabc,

You can manually delete the Data Type from TBSM, by following the steps:

Note: perform these steps while the server is not running.

    1. Find $TBSM_HOME/etc/TBSM_typelist file

    2. In the typelist file, find your data type, and remember the associated index.

    3. Delete the following properties:

    impact.types.<INDEX>.image=database.png
    impact.types.<INDEX>.name=TBSM_FlatDataType
    impact.types.<INDEX>.number=78
    impact.types.<INDEX>.class=SQL

    4. Delete the TBSM_FlatDataType.type file.

    Hope this helps,

    Oskar
