Pinned topic How does CM Server connect to CC VOB/registry server?

‏2013-05-17T18:01:01Z |

My understanding is CM Server is connecting to CCCQ via CCPRC and CQPRC, and the fat client CC and CQ need to be installed in the CM Server.

The CQPRC looks into the local CQ Maintainence Tools for connections.

How does CCPRC find out which registry server connect to? Through the local fat CC registry server configuration in the Control Penal?

Thanks

Jirong

Yes, it uses local server configuration.

    Expanding on Pavel's answer ...

Note that while CCRC / CM Server supports use of multiple ClearCase regions, these tag regions must all be served by the same registry server, as specified in Control Panel (Windows) or rgy_host.conf (UNIX)
