Pinned topic Performance of LDAP user vs internal WAS user

‏2016-09-21T17:18:34Z | inspector mdm mdm-migration performance webreports

When I run the task creation webreport as mdmadmin it takes approximately 1 minute 30 seconds to complete. However when I run the task creation webreport as an active directory authenticated user, the report takes 1 minute 55 seconds to complete. Does anyone know what might be the reason or cause for the extra overhead?

mdmadmin user is a WAS user and so it can look up the user and password and authenticate, check permissions right away. With LDAP, WAS has to do all of this in LDAP and that can cause overhead. With this integration, there's a question on whether it's finely tuned or not as well.
