Pinned topic tabIndex on EGL Dojo Widgets?

‏2013-11-15T22:09:55Z |

It appears that EGL Dojo Widgets have a tabIndex property available but the property seems to be ineffective. Can anyone else confirm?

We are looking to get tabIndex & accessibility functionality from the EGL Dojo widgets. Can anyone provide any pointers on how to do so? It seems as if the EGL implementation of Dojo widgets does not include accessibility features.

Same problem here. tabindex property is available but is not working.

Hi James, I agree that this should work out of the box. But it is not too hard to add this functionality yourself. See the attached file for an example.

    Hi James,

It should be  a defect. EGL Dojo/Dijit widgets should at least support HTML 4.01, which means the tabindex attribute in EGL is supposed to be able to be used with widgets having a related tag like: <button>, <input>, <select>, and <textarea>. I would suggest you to open an APAR against it.

    Regards,

    Smyle

    James/Chris,

As Smyle said.... this sounds like a defect, so we would encourage you to open a PMR (which can then result in an APAR).

    take care.

I have put in a PMR and the team has acknowledged the issue. Thanks to everyone for their confirmation.

I just encountered this exact situation.

Thanks for the posting, this saved me hours of trying to do a work-around.
