Would the built in "Environment Viewer Group" documented here meet your needs?

    Thanks Katherine.

But, I am more looking for a user who can view all the projects configuration in WMC. But he should not be able to undepoly, stop and edit the project configurations.

He should only able to view the list of orchestration  status (running, stopped). He can also able to view the logs and alerts.

To summarise i want to give my production support users to have read only access for all orchestrations, logs and alerts.

Kindly share your inputs on this.

    Regards'

    Tharik

Have you tested using the Environment Viewer Group?  I would expect it to have the behaviour you are requesting.  If it allows users in that group to undeploy, stop or edit project configurations, I would raise a support request.

Is this "Environment Viewer" Group found only in Cast Iron WMC Cloud ? I am not able to find this group in my cast iron WMC virtual applicance ?

Please correct if missed out any of the fundamendals.

I think the naming is slightly wrong in the documentation for the appliances, but I'm guessing it's referring to the viewer group in the attached screenshot from WMC > Security > Users and Groups.  Please test by creating a user in that group and then logging into the appliance as that user to see if the permissions are correct for your requirements.

    Hi Katherine,

I have logged in as admin in WMC and i am able to see only 3 built-in groups. Find below the screen shots. I have also read in the Getting Started handbook that "WebSphere Cast Iron Live: WebSphere Cast Iron Live includes the additional roles of the

tenant administrator and the environment administrator."

Please let me know is the "Viewer Group" applicable to Cast Iron Virtual applicance. Is that group applicable for Cast Iron Live/ Cloud ?

    Regards,

    Tharik

Which version of Cast Iron are you using?  My screenshot was from a 6.4 virtual appliance, and the documentation I sent you was from 6.3.

I've just checked and the Viewer Group is not listed in the 6.1 documentation.  If you are on 6.1 or earlier, you will need to upgrade to take advantage of this feature.
