Pinned topic Wy is "MyPoolBusy" value different from SharedCPU-Busy value, in nmon p=partition panel

‏2014-04-15T11:37:40Z |

Can anybody think of a reason why the values of MyPoolBusy and SharedCPU-Busy do not match in nmon?

Example:

Shared_Pools     MaxPoolCapacity=28.00   MyPoolMax =28.00 SharedCPU-Total=28.00
SharedCPU=28   EntPoolCapacity=23.30   MyPoolBusy= 1.43  SharedCPU-Busy = 6.77

The example comes from a POWER7 frame and a LPAR with AIX 6.1 TL7.

Thanks

Roland.

    You have probably more than 1 CPU pool with LPARS in them.

    SharedCPU-Busy is the utilization of the whole managed system.

    MyPoolBusy is the utilization of all LPARs in the same CPU pool.
