Pinned topic Migration from DB2 9.7.5 to 10.5 (both Express-C) fails with a sql1442N-error

‏2013-08-24T18:51:56Z |

Hello,

i've tried to migrate our two databases from db2 9.7.5 -> 10.5. But every time i get an sql1224n-error when i use "migrate db dbasename" or "upgrade db dbasename". With the first database it works fine, the second database is the problem.

in the db2diag-log there are many errors like:

    Hi ,

I guess the still the application connections are accessing the existing DB.  Force the application connections and try deactivate.

You are trying the Migrate when the instance is up ?

    Stop all and then try.

    Best Regards,

    Hi,

Can you please uncatalog the DB and recatalog the db before migration.  Then try the upgrade command.

    Best Regards,

    Kiran.M.K.

Hi, thank you but i think, it is another reason for this failure.

In the FODC-logs i have found this:

      -----FUNC-ADDR---- ------FUNCTION + OFFSET------
0x00007FFDCEE2965A ossDumpStackTraceInternal(unsigned long, OSSTrapFile&, int, siginfo*, void*, unsigned long, unsigned long) + 0x020a

      (/home/db2inst2/sqllib/lib64/libdb2e.so.1)

I guess, the function "sqlrlm_get_colname_from_colid(sqlrg_pd*, char*, long, long*) + 0x0048" is the reason. But i don't know how this function works.

      Greetings.

OK; i have fixed the problem. I have reorg'ed all tables and indexes and collected new statistics with the "SET PROFILE" option. It seems there were some strange values in the SYSTABLES-table.

    Greetings.
