Pinned topic Does IIS Metadata Asset Manager v11.5 support SQL Server v2014 reporting services (SSRS 2014)

‏2018-01-12T06:19:31Z | infosphere; server sql ssrs;

Hi All,

As per the technote of IIS v11.5 the metadata bridge (Microsoft SQL Server Analysis and Reporting Services (Repository) bridge reference) doesn't support SQL Server 2014.

However, while using the IIS v11.5.0.1 there is an additional option of selecting the SQL Server v2014.

Could someone please verify whether the IIS v11.5.0.1 supports the reporting services of SQL Server v2014 or not?

Regards,

Pratik

    SQL Server  2014 is supported in 115 fix pack 2. Please install latest fix pack to have it supported.

    Thanks for your reply!

    Yes, we have the latest fix pack installed. However, we were successfully able to connect to the SQL Server 2014 database engines and not could not connect to the SQL Server 2014 SSRS reporting. It gave two errors:

    1. Windows authentication error for ---> https://servername/ReportServer

    2. XML error for ---> https://servername/ReportServer/folders

    Please note: We followed the prerequisite process before doing extracting Metadata from SSRS reporting URL.

    Could you please guide us on what we must be missing out on?

    Really appreciate your inputs.

    Thanks,

    Pratik

     make sure the all users connected to the SSRS or SSAS are in same domain ie if all systems ( SSAS , SSRS  and MIS ( IMAM CLIENT) ) are logged in wiht same user id.

     Also restart the MIS service in MIS server machine  with same user id as that the windows login id and has acces to SSAS/SSRS

     this is because , MIS service does not provide a MS Login window to provide credentials if user id is not matching so it would not log. if the issue still exists open an issue with IBM

    Hi,

    Can you provide the URL format that we are supposed to use in the bridge?

    I'm using the following:

     http://10.0.0.8/Reports_SQLSERVER

    and

    http://10.0.0.8/Reports_SQLSERVER/Pages/Folder.aspx?ItemPath=%2fPOC&ViewMode=List

    Is this the right format?

    Do I have to provide a URL for XML file? WSDL link??

    Please let me know,

    Thanks,

    Pratik
