Pinned topic Displaying Report Filters

‏2013-05-04T00:37:29Z |

I thought that Report Studio had a new function in 10.x that allows the author to display the filter expression(s) on the report page itself (much the way Query Studio shows the filter expression). But now that I'm back on 10.1.1 I can't find a sign of such a function. Was it in 10.2, am I mistaken, or is there something I'm missing that makes this possible?

Thanks,
Opher

There is no show detail/summary filter report layout function.  Although IMHO there should be.  On the up side, you can create this manually.  By using tables, text, icons and parameterdisplay values.  Since static filters are just static text and any prompted values would be dynmically updated using the aforementioned layout calculation.

True, but then the text becomes another maintenance item to remember to update every time. I'd rather have the report author worry about the report and use functions to provide the needed documentation.

      Thanks
