Pinned topic Inventory Analyst Stand-alone Server

‏2013-09-18T09:46:52Z |

Hi,

I've installed the IPFA Stand-alone Server version, but it couldn't be started. Is there any procedure should be done?

Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

What version of IPFA did you install?  In the installation directory, is there a SupportAssistant.exe file?  If there is, can you double click on it and send the zip file to me (rkersh at us dot ibm dot com)?  After running for a few seconds, it should create a zip file named "xxxxx.bbb.ccc.zip" on your desktop.  Are there are screenshots you can attach?

    Regards,

    Ryan

Okay, it doesn't look like you have the latest IPFA installer.  Did you receive the installer through the IBM Academic Initiative?  If not, I would suggest that you contact support as they will be able to assist you more efficiently.

There's another thing I want to ask about.

I succeeded to install IPFA in a desktop PC (stand-alone desktop version). But when I installed the same installer in a server (stand-alone server version), the problem (like mentioned before) occurred.

Is it possible to install 2 versions of IPFA with 1 installer as I did? or is the version for server different from the one for desktop PC?

          Thank you.

The installer is the same for both use cases.
