Pinned topic Problem with configuring SMTP with Exchange Server

‏2013-08-22T08:12:24Z |

Hello,

i have a problem with configuring SMTP in SCCD 7.5.1.0  with TPAE 7.5.0.4,

After setting SMTP configuration, i can create communication from Service request and it doesn't display any errors, but when i check my inbox i found that no emails received from maximo,

The mail server is Microsoft Exchange Server.

i tried to use testemail batch and i got this

error ** Email test: Connected to e-mail accountsd@<host>

DEBUG: setDebug: JavaMail version 1.3.2
DEBUG: getProvider() returning javax.mail.Provider[TR
mtp.SMTPTransport,Sun Microsystems, Inc]
javax.mail.NoSuchProviderException: invalid provider

        at javax.mail.Session.getStore(Session.java:5
        at psdi.tools.TestEmail.<init>(Unknown Source
        at psdi.tools.TestEmail.main(Unknown Source)

How can i troubleshoot this issue?

Thanks in advance,

You might try sending it to a gmail account.  This way, it's not tied to a specific Exchange account.

What server is maximo on? Are you able to telnet from it via port 25 (the default smtp port) and go to the smtp server? You can submit the email headers manually to see the results .

Windows Server 2008 R2, and i can telnet the mail server successfully,

what do you mean by submitting headers manually?

    Thanks

I think he means to manually send a testmail via telnet.
