Pinned topic Branch Deletion after Domain Change.

‏2013-05-03T09:25:25Z |

Hello Friends,

We observed that our VOB is not in Sync from April 24,2013. It was because of a Corrupted version of a file. Today anyhow, we decided to delete the respective

versioned Branch. But unfortunately, on April 28,2013 our Windows Domain got changed to another Domain. Now, we are unable to delete either the corrupted

version or the whole branch itself. I searched so many Technotes. But there it mentioned about checkouts only but not versions deletion after Domain change.

Please someone of you could help me in this regard. Because of this, file is getting hijacked, that effecting our Builds and I need to replicate our Codebase to

two different replicas. Thanks!

Best Regards,

Sebastian

Sebastian - I would advise opening a PMR on this before you actually remove any objects from any vobs in the family. We should look at the exact errors you are getting, both on import and on the remove operations after domain change. I might suggest some things to try but if this is a corrupted source container we should have that looked at by support to see if we can help without resulting in any loss of data. Most likely the domain problems are not hard to fix; corruption is more serious and we should have a look at what is happening to give the best answer.

Thanks for your response Ben. We deleted the corrupted versioned branch by changing it's permissions. Now the VOB is in Sync!

We have the backup copy of those corrupted versions. - Sebastian.
