Pinned topic Initial Cluster Setup Issue

‏2013-04-24T09:37:32Z |

Adding a node to the cluster during the initial cluster setup "hangs". The command keeps running forever.

Environment Information

  • AIX 7.1 technology level 2 service pack 2
  • PowerHA SystemMirror 7.1.2 (service pack 2)
  • Virtual I/O Server 2.2.2.1

Thanks in advance.

Did you ever get past it? Clcomd running and /etc/cluster/rhosts is configured on both nodes? I have a demo on adding a new node to an active cluster, though I'm not sure thats exactly what you are doing, but it might be useful.

The problem still exists. There is no problem with clcomd and /etc/cluster/rhosts. I am not trying to add a new node to an active cluster. This is an initial cluster setup issue. I am affraid I will have to wait for an AIX or PowerHA SystemMirror service pack.

We have found solution for our case.

when you change language to LANG=en_US everything works fine.

Hope we helped usaix as well.
