Pinned topic TRIGGERS and permissions

‏2013-06-03T19:12:40Z |

We have just started using TRIGGERS and are wondering ... do we need to explicitly GRANT authorities to the TRIGGER or do they inherit from the DDL object they are related to?

Assuming that you're talking about authorities that are necessary for the Trigger itself to perform database operations, static SQL statements in the SQL Trigger body execute using the authority of the owner of the trigger.
