Pinned topic DB2 Fatal Error: -1224 during scanning using Compiler scanner

‏2013-07-29T20:41:22Z |

Still having issues trying to scan all of the sources.  I restarted the scan using Compiler based scanner to see if I'll get a lower error rate.  Scan has been running for over two weeks now and there are still 3000 files left (total number of files was 19000 out of which there are over 9K copybooks).  However, I looked at the DMH6000.log today and noticed the following entry:

DMH1003I: Copyright IBM Corp. 2000, 2013
DMH1000I: .
DMH1004I: US Government Users Restricted Rights - Use, duplication
DMH1005I: or disclosure restricted by GSA ADP Schedule Contract
DMH1006I: with IBM Corporation.
DMH1000I: .
DMH1001I: DMH6000 (V6.1.0.0 40220)
DMH1000I: .
DMH1117I: CONNECTED TO DATABASE: DMHDB
DMH1101I: QueueType 04 start
DMH1400E: Fatal Error: line 49 in DMHDCOM
DMH1401S: Fatal DB2 Error: -1224

Suggestions?

1224 can mean many things, but I suspect you have a DB2 security problem.   Just shooting from the hip, I wonder if the RAA admin having the problem can issue this query from the execute query window

    SELECT USER FROM SYSIBM.SYSDUMMY1

If not, you need some DB2 magic to let them have the proper access.   Look at the doc for details about the grants the users must be given. If not, I would open a problem record to get some specifics.    I personally go to the control center and grant the group of users select to sysibm and anything that makes sense in terms of access to  DMHDB objects.

Another less likely area to look at  is db2 log sizing.    I like to have 1GB spread across the log files...  but I thinks this is pretty much a default in current DB2 levels.

      Thanks Tony.

I'm actually using db2admin with all default values for db and schema name.  I didn't notice anything in the docs about any permissions that I had to grant.  BTW, when I ran the above query, I got DB2ADMIN returned as the result.  I finally figured out how to run the grant command you indicated but I'm not sure if it was that or something else (e.g. space issue that my admin fixed) that caused the problem to resolve itself and it's now scanning again!  Thanks for the help.
