Pinned topic What is the correct entry for "Server URL" in a multi server installation

‏2013-04-05T23:05:18Z |
Currently in defining a Repository I have this in the Server URL: iiop://vusslasrws1220:9810/FileNet/Engine
and things are fine as long as I am hitting the ICN deployed on the same server (vusslasrws1220). If I am accessing the ICN deployed on the other server (vusslasrws1221) I get this error when displaying pdf documents:

Unable to open <http://vusslasrws1221:9082/navigator/p8/getDocument.do?docid=StandardDocument%2C%7BA7577 etc

Error:ji.net.jiServerException:
Server did not respond with OK
Error: IO error: Unable to generate page due to repository access error.

Is there a different Server URL that should be specified when there are multiple P8 CE servers?

    Each CE has its own server url

    CE 1 --> iiop://ce1:9810/FileNet/Engine
    CE 2 --> iiop://ce2:9810/FileNet/Engine

    Each ICN server can point to as many CE servers as long as the WAS for these servers have the same LDAP settings.

    So from ICN 1, you can configure the two CE repositories, each with its own url.
    And you can do the same from ICN 2

    If navigator is on the same websphere cell of FileNet you coud use :

    corbaloc:rir:/cell/clusters/<CEclusterName>/FileNet/Engine

    if they are in different cells you could use:

    corbaloc::node1_hostname:BOOTSTRAP_ADDRESS,:node2_hostname:BOOTSTRAP_ADDRESS/cell/clusters/<CEclusterName>/FileNet/Engine

    do not put "cemp:" in front of those addresses
