Pinned topic Fail to open a heapdump file with MAT+IEMA. why

‏2013-04-02T06:41:57Z |
When I open a heapdump file with Eclipse Memory Analyzer(MemoryAnalyzer-1.2.1.20121105-win32.win32.x86_64), a problem occurred.
I had installed the IBM Extensions plugins to Memory Analyzer by "http://download.boulder.ibm.com/ibmdl/pub/software/isa/isa410/production".
For more information about the plugins, see the attach file which named "plugins.jpg".

The heapdump file was dumped by a Websphere which version is WAS5.1ForLinux.

Fortunately, I can open the heapdump file with the HeapAnalyzer.

Is it a bug of IEMA?

      Hi. I assume the Java version is 1.4.2 in WAS 5? If so then the DTFJ component does not support reading heapdumps from that version of Java.

        Thank you.

        I read the information from heapdumps as  follows:

        // Version: J2RE 1.4.1 IBM build cxia321411-20031011.

        Which version of Java that DTFJ component support reading heapdumps from?

        JAVA 1.5 or higher?
