Pinned topic Where is the javax.ejb package in WLP?

‏2013-03-30T18:48:24Z |
Hi,
I have WDT, WLP installed and running on Eclipse. Created several Web Applications and EAR Applications without issues. Just created my first EJB project, followed by a Stateless Session EJB. Errors come up after the wizard creates the class that it can't find the java.ejb package. Anyone seen this? My class path is obviously not correct but I can't seem to find any reference for the javax.ejb package anywhere in the WLP installation. Any help will greatly appreciated.

    Hi Carlos,

Which version of WLP are you using? EJB is only in the early program / beta drivers, not in the 8.5.0 GA driver.

In the beta drivers, the javax.ejb package is in wlp/dev/api/spec/com.ibm.ws.javaee.ejb.3.1_1.0.0.jar. It is added to the project classpath if you specify 'WebSphere v8.5 Application Server' as your targeted runtime.

    Hope this helps.

    Regards, Alex.

Thank you Alex. Definitely answers my question. I have 8.5.0.1 GA version and I don't see that package anywhere. I thought WLP had EJB support but I guess not.
