Hello all

We installed Tivoli Endpoint Manager for Sec & Compliance and I want to know how could I custumize my security policies or can I just use the security policies of the Fixlet?

    Hi Raphael,

It is possible to tailor security policies. Are you working with UNIX or Windows content?

There are two main ways that Windows custom security policies are supported right now. There are more sophisticated things we can try if necessary, but I'll just mention the straightforward things at this point.

        • First, you can use the "Create Custom Checklist" wizard. That will allow you to pick and choose which checks you want in your policy from existing checklists. These checks will be saved to a custom site, which will hold the new security policy.

        • Second, once you have created a custom checklist in this manner, you can set parameters for those individual checks that have a parameter form.

If you wish to go beyond this, we will need to look at other approaches.

In the SCM Reporting site we provide a wizard that allows you to create custom SCM checks. However using this wizard requires knowledge of relevance.

you can contact me at jsaxton@us.ibm.com if you have any questions about the wizard I have mentioned.
