Pinned topic JAX-WS using Eclipse+WASDT: NoClassDefFoundError: com/sun/tools/apt/Main

‏2013-03-26T03:02:18Z |
Hi,

I've recently tried developing a web service to be deployed on websphere but I am unable to create the web service using the wizard. I am using the ff:

  • Eclipse 4.2.1 (Juno SR1)
  • Websphere Application Server Developer Tools for Eclipse v8.5
  • Websphere Application Server for Developers v8.5
  • Windows XP SP3

I've been trying for a week now, I've changed the JRE pref on Eclipse to use IBM JDK, also added -vm <path-to-websphere-jdk>. Can't seem to find whats causing the prob

Errors occurred during wsgen.

    Hi,

Since you work with WAS Full Profile you'd be better off asking the question in the forum WebSphere Application Server.

Just to make sure it works fine with WDT/WLP, I ran the wizard and it worked fine. I'm uncertain if your steps match mine, so when you post the question to the WAS forum, include what the steps were.

BTW, Can't you use @WebService annotation? For simple cases, it's all you need after all.
