We are creating pattern for tomcat where we want to support clustering throgh multicasting
we are defining multicast ip as 184.108.40.206
we have opened the ports 4000 and 45564 for UDP
When we are running these commands
sudo /sbin/ifconfig -a
ping -t 1 -c 2 220.127.116.11
sudo /usr/sbin/tcpdump -ni eth0 host 18.104.22.168
the output is given in below screenshots attached in files..
but still multicasting is not happening
any help on this will be appreciated

Re: Is multicast supported onIBM SCAWS2013-03-27T10:18:37Z in response to SystemAdminHi,
SCE doesn't support multicast. Either you will have to create an overlay network (but I don't have info on how to do it) or use Cohesive-FT VPN3 on SCE which provide an overlay network and thus allows you to send multicasted package.
Tomcat support static cluster and for that you don't need multicast.
