Pinned topic REST API : 404 error

‏2013-03-22T19:21:47Z |
Hello all,

thanks in advance for any help you have. I have an implementation of ASE and now I need to write a program to retrieve reports out of ASE and into a required format. I am calling the web server and keep getting a 404 error. I see all of the files on the server to support REST but still get a 404. Does anyone know if there is something special that needs to occur to setup REST?

Also, is there a way to setup custome fields for report packs?

thanks

    Thomas,

What URL do you have when using ASE REST API?

The URL should be formatted as follows for accessing reports:
    https://<server>/ase/services/reports/<number>
(or http://.. if using ASE with Windows authentication)

To access a specific issue use:
    https://<server>/ase/services/reports/<number>/issues/<id>

    for example:
    https://90.2.4.57/ase/services/reports/206/issues/26

You do not need any special configuration nor setup.

    Thanks,
    Marek

    Hi,

thank you very much for your response. All requests to the server fail including
    https://<server>/ASE/services/version

    1. the application works as it should
    2. none of the examples work - using correct url and samples from online help.
    3. all files appear to be there
    4. no log files other than IIS log files are present (with 404)
    Thanks!
