Pinned topic SVC Split Cluster Zoning rules.

‏2013-03-19T12:25:58Z |
We are looking at SVC Split Cluster Zoning Rules.
SVC Split Cluster with ISL.
With this setup there is a Private and a Public Fabric. Private for internode traffic and public for host attachment and storage systems attachment.
For the Private Fabric I need a zone with all ports from all the nodes (like in a normal SVC setup).
Does the Public fabric also need a zone with all the SVC ports of all nodes?
If it is needed... how does the SVC decide which port it will use for internode traffic?

Thanks..

    Hi,

There is no problem doing inter-node on the public network. The requirement is that there is an uncongested inter-site link in the private san.

    Cheers
