My db file size after inserting the application data is 2,512,064 KB. We have a inbuilt purge logic, which deletes the data after a specific duration. This is because of the limited disk size we have for DB.
But when I delete the data in soliddb, I do no see any change in the file size. But if I shutdown the DB and run the reorganize command, I see the file size has reduced.
Shutting down the DB is not a choice in production, can you let me know what is the alternative solution for this?

Unfortunately there is no alternative; the only way to compact the database files is to shutdown the server and then restart it using the '-x reorganize' option.
