I have created Liberty profile server for a spring based we application. Updated the data source, feature manager and the application ear file information in server.xml.
When I hit the URL, its throwing me error as follows:
Error loading class http://org.springframework.scheduling.commonj.WorkManagerTaskExecutor for bean with name 'beanName' defined in URL http://....../applicationContext.xml: problem with class file or dependent class; nested exception is java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: commonj.work.WorkManager
In Websphere Application Server, I configured the work manager under Resources->Asynchronous Bean->Work Manager.
However, I am not finding anything relevant in Websphere Liberty Profile Server.

Re: Liberty Profile - Work Manager2013-03-15T14:25:50Z in response to SystemAdminThe Liberty profile has a subset of features included in the full profile. The CommonJ WorkManager is not one of the features that are included in the Liberty profile. To use the CommonJ WorkManager, you will need to use the full profile.

There isn't currently any documentation that specifically identifies the differences between the Liberty profile and the full profile in WebSphere. It's a good suggestion, and I've passed that onto the team.
There is a lot of documentation about Liberty's capabilities and the new one capabilities available in the Beta at this location: https://www.ibm.com/developerworks/mydeveloperworks/blogs/wasdev/entry/article_announce_v85next_beta?lang=en
