Pinned topic Log Target Question

A question on log targets...

I created a custom log target to trap network error messages from an XML manager object. The new log target has an object filter retricting it to this particular XML manager object and an event subscription so only network errors are written to this target. The new target works fine, all the expected messages are being written.

I would like to stop these messages appearing in the default log target. The default log target is our general log for everything else. It has an event subscription of all/error.

Is there a simple way of configuring the default log target to still be all/error except the error I'm trapping in the custom log target ?? I would like to separate the XML Manager network error form everything else.

The easy answer is to suggest an event suppression filter. If you do not see the event code of this network log event let me know the exact log message and I can try to help.

    Thanks Trev....

I could add an event suppression filter for that particular code, however, if that error message was created by another object, then it would be suprressed. The event suppression filter seems to suppress codes in general, I want to suprress a code for a particular object.
