Pinned topic Question regarding IBM 1090 software package?

‏2013-03-13T21:10:29Z |
Hi,

I'm trying to install RD&T on OpenSUSE 11.02, and when going through the installation manual, it asked me to install 1090 package. But I'm not sure how to obtain this software? So has anyone experienced it, could share me some instruction?

Could you elaborate a little bit more on the scenario you are trying?
Like hardware, Version of the product, and what do you want to accomplish?

      Hi Garcia,

Sorry for late response. I'm setting zPDT for my school (CSUN), and my goal is to emulate z/OS 1.12 under OpenSUSE 11.2 so that we can run some COBOL programs. I was able to install zPDT successfully, but now I ran into the problem when running 3270 terminal. I used the command
      awsstart mydevmap_file
but nothing shown in the 3270.
Before, I used Vista TN3270 to connect to z/OS provided by Marist College from New York. They assigned us some accounts and we logged in to use their z/OS via ISPF.
However, I don't see any login screen when running zPDT under OpenSUSE, so I wonder did I miss any step? Thanks in advance.
