Pinned topic TADz End of Service Products report issue

‏2013-03-12T13:36:45Z |
Dear Team,

We are currently using the End of Service Products list in TADz to keep ourselves updated with EOS dates for products installed on our mainframe.
However we have discovered that Java version 5.0 installed on our mainframe with EOS date of 30th Sept 2013 was not showing up on the list. I have attached the complete EOS list. Can you please advise why this is the case ? Please consider this request as urgent as it is very important for us to have products on our systems that are in support.

Thanks,
Vinay

    Hi Vinay,

We only update EOS dates every few months. This months GKB there are a number of updates one of which is Java Version 5. I'm sorry if this has caused you problems. We will look at doing the updates on a monthly basis in future.

I am noticing that the delay still is present.  In the February 2014 announement letter (IBM United States Withdrawal Announcement 914-012 )  COBOL -

Enterprise COBOL for z/OS 3.4.x 5655-G53 goes EOS April 30, 2015.  Are there any plans to update this information sooner?  If not, the fearure is not beneficial.   Vince

Excellent - I will send the new report to the team after the new GKB load - Vince T

after loading the new GKB, the COBOL issue has been addressed -

However, there are 2 other products where we have questions  -  z/OS: DFSORT has version 1.12 which went EOS 09/30/2014, we are running z/OS 1.13 - DFSORT for v 1.13 is not in the GKB.   We are also seeing unexpected results for z/OS: IOCP MVS.

    Hi Vince,

As far as I know, the level of DFSORT in z/OS 1.13 is still 1.12 and the FMID is HSM1K00. It looks like the EOS date for DFSORT 1.12 should not have been added. I have changed this in Novembers GKB. What issue do you have with IOCP?

In the IBM Announcement letter dated August 4, several z/OS products had their EOS announced.  How long will it be until the GKB is updated?  As indicated in previous posts, this information is beneficial, but, not if the delay in updates is as long as it has been.  One item not updated was IMS 5635-A03.
