Pinned topic pyscan: get_AppTreeRoot has gone on AppScan 8.6 SDK?

‏2013-03-06T13:13:38Z |
Guys,

I have a pyscan script that was running very well on AppScan 8 and 8.5. But after I updated AppScan Standard to 8.6, my pyscan script stopped to work.

The problem is that the get_AppTreeRoot() method was removed from AppScan python SDK.

Before 8.6 I used to do the following in order to get the Issue List:

appScan.Scan.ScanData.get_AppTreeRoot().GetIssues()

Now that get_AppTreeRoot() was removed, I can't do it anymore.

Any idea? Are you guys experiencing the same problem?

    Hi,

    The API you are using has been marked as Deprecated since 8.0, and has been removed in 8.6.

    You need to use the new interface:
    GetAppTreeRoot(TreeViewType treeType)
    For example:
    GetAppTreeRoot(AppScan.Scan.Data.TreeViewType.UrlBased)

    You can use the attached example file as reference to new interfaces.

    Good luck,
    Shahar

    Thanks... it is now working properly.

    I have noticed that some other methods have changed too.
