‏2013-03-04T14:44:44Z |
hello

i am very new to this clearcase. my boss told me to make a script for rebaseing a view. but i cant find any help. it just i dont too much about it, thats why i am not seeing the solution.

lets say, i have a

snapshoot named as test_snapshoot
stream is test_stream
base line: i dont know how to write it...but when is go to rebase stream from GUI, i find "embed3_build embed3_build_INITIAL".

i tried with this command
cleartool rebase -recommended -stream test_stream@\embed3_build

but got this error
cleartool: Error: stream not found: "test_stream".

any help?

When specifying your stream-selector, it should be in the form "stream-name@\PVOB-name". It looks to me like you are using "stream-name@\component-name".

I suggest you do a little reading here:

Also, if the view is associated with a given stream, all you really need to do is:
    1) Set or CD into the view
    2) run cleartool rebase -recommended

If you want to move to a different baseline, you would:
    1) Set or CD into the view
    2) run cleartool rebase -baseline baseline1@\PVOBTag

Being in the view context will set the stream context.

If you don't want to Set or CD into the view, you could use:
cleartool rebase -view {view tag} -stream {Stream name @\PVOBtag} -recommended
    or:
    cleartool rebase -view {view tag} -stream {Stream name @\PVOBtag} -baseline {baseline ID @ \PVOBtag}
