Can you elaborate on your environment? Do you currently have the server or agent installed? Are you trying to upgrade what is currently installed?

I am having this exact problem when trying to install the Server.

I have the platform and common agent installed (v6.3.2).

Running on Windows Sever 2008 R2.

I am new to posting on forums. So I'm sorry if I am leaving out information.

Have you tried to run SysDirRemoval tool in order to cleanup before installing.

It's located on dvd source \server\x64\bin

You cannot install the Server on a system that already has the Agent installed on it.  You need to first uninstall the Agent.  The InfoCenter includes instructions on cleaning up after an uninstall (or failed uninstall).
