Pinned topic DS3524 - 2 node x3550 m4 Hyper-V Server 2012 CSV

Hello,

Im trying to get a DS3524dc connected to my 2*x3550M4 over SAS working with failover clustering in Hyper-V Server 2012. All used drivers and firmware is the latest but when validating the cluster in Failover Cluster Manager i get this error:

"Successfully issued call to Persistent Reservation READ RESERVATION on Test Disk 0 from node HVSRV2.DOMAIN1.local when that node has successfully reserved. The reservation key for that node is expected to be present but it was not present.

Test Disk 0 does not provide Persistent Reservations support for the mechanisms used by failover clusters. Some storage devices require specific firmware versions or settings to function properly with failover clusters. Please contact your storage administrator or storage vendor to check the configuration of the storage to allow it to function properly with failover clusters."

DS3524 subsystem/controller - FW Ver. 07.84.44.00
IBM 6Gb SAS HBA - FW Ver 10.00.08.00 - Drv Ver. 2.00.55.84

Reading the IBM System Storage DS3500 Introduction and Implementation this hardware configuration should be supported and failover clustering works with 2008/2008R2.
Isn't Hyper-V server 2012 supported with failover clustering (SAS connected) or is it my knowledge that needs a boost?

Regards,

/Mikael

Today we learned that when a report says NO it means YES. Cluster successfully created.
