Pinned topic No memory VPD for HS21 or HS20 blades

‏2013-02-25T12:36:28Z |
Hello all.

We have 4 bladecenter chassis with differents blades. Hardware VPD show memory info only for HS22 blades, not for HS21 or HS20 ones.

We update the AMM firmware to last version on all chassis and update BMC firmware to newest version on one HS21 an the behaviour is the same.

Is there a limitation on HS21 or HS20 blades to get this info?

Of course using "env -T system:blade[x]:memory[y]" doesn't works also.

Regards

I think this VPD info is only available on IMM based systems

Correct, moving to the iMM based systems gives significantly more information than the previous generation service processors. I can verify the same behavior in my lab where HS21's won't provide that information via the aMM, so yes, a limitation of the older hardware.

    Thanks,
    Erick
