Running SVC 126.96.36.199 and V7000 188.8.131.52
In the past I thought I could run svcconfig backup with an administrator account.. Now I have to log in as Superuser.!!??
CMMVC6202E This command can only be run by the superuser.
Did I miss something?

Re: svcconfig backup 6.4 code2013-03-07T17:41:06Z in response to TMasteenHmm, like you, I thought that the svcconfig backup action could be run by any user. (meaning any role)
The svcconfig restore process includes the node service IP addresses, which are configured using an satask CLI that can only be run by the superuser.
I wonder if the policing got overly restrictive in the recent releases.... or whether the backup action now also includes CLIs that can only be run by the superuser (and therefore the new policing is correct)... I'll go have a play.
Re: svcconfig backup 6.4 code2013-03-07T17:53:06Z in response to chriscantoSo, after a little digging:
This change went into 184.108.40.206 and later, returning an error if svcconfig is not being run by the superuser.
I think this change is incorrect; only the restore/recover actions (which run satask CLIs) should be restricted to the superuser.
I'll raise a defect to try and get this corrected.
