Pinned topic How do I display the Date facet as yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss?

‏2013-02-20T15:14:08Z |
In the built-in enterprise search application, the Date facet appears as MM/dd/yy (even though my locale specifies dd/MM/yyyy). How can I make Date display as yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss?

Why don't I see the Date facet in the Parse and Index pane's Facets?
Sometimes the Date facet appears as a Java Date in milliseconds. Can I make it appear as yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss instead?

Thanks,
Eli

    To change/customize date format, in the ICA admin console, Parser & Indexer section: Configure parser & indexer for this collection (Edit) -> More -> Custom date format.

    To see the date facet, try the following that works for analytics collection, but I don't know if it will work for search collections:
    in the ICA admin console, find the Action button over the Search section: Action -> Settings -> Edit collection settings;
    you should see all available date fields in "Fields used as a date facet in the content analytics miner";
    check the ones you want to use.

    Whether a specific date appears in epoch time, you have to:
    locate ....../esdata/master_config/searchapp/search/config.properties
    and add the date fields not mentioned in the following section
    #==============================================================================================
    1. The following fields are date fields (they will be formatted as a date)
    #==============================================================================================
    date.fields=modifieddate createddate date atompublished atomupdated creationdate

    This is the link to the ICA InfoCenter document about the matter

    hope this help

    Thanks! Yes, ICA was using my FF language setting, which was EN/US, so it displayed MM/dd.
    When I told FF to use EN/GB, ICA correctly displayed dd/MM.

    But what I'd really like is dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm, not dd/MM/yy.

    Custom Date Format seems to be for parsing document dates, not for displaying dates.

    My problem isn't which dates to display, but rather the format in which to display them; I want dd/MM/yyyy hh:mm

    Thanks,
    Eli
