ive been wondering how does the cpu of the playstation 3 meet the requirement of the device? i know that the cell broadband engine is made of eight synergistic processor cores but i just need more details for curiosity?

The PS3 contains a Cell B.E CPU, some of the SPE units are not available to programmers of videogames, some are reserved for OS usage and some are not enabled because of manufacturing yields.
In every sense, the Cell B.E in the PS3 is a regular Cell B.E.
