Pinned topic Resize images from DOORS in Word output

‏2013-02-18T17:53:28Z |
Hello All,

I'm trying to export a DOORS module to Word in a table format, and am having some difficulty with the images from DOORS. The output contains a column for ID, the main column, and a third column. The size of the images stretches the width of the center column, leaving the outer columns cut off at the edge of the page in portrait orientation. Is there a way to resize the images with RPE so that all three columns will fit in the width of a single page?

Thanks!

    Hey Emily,

the document specification has 2 properties in the metadata section that allow you to control the image size in the report: image max width, image max height. See Runtime metadata properties

You can also fine tune this in the template as the "image max width" and "image max height" properties are also available for the text element. So setting these on the text element that renders the DOORS data will have the same effect. The advantage of setting this in the template is that the docspec does not have to change. The disadvantage is that you cannot adjust the layout from the docspec as the template setting always override the docspec one.

    Thanks, Dragos!

I chose to change the properties on the text element and it worked perfectly!
