Pinned topic full /tmp diectory

‏2013-02-18T12:16:50Z |
Hi group,
last week we experienced a strange behaviour on one node.

After a short analyzing, we realized a 100% full /tmp directory.
With this, all KSH-Scripts ended in failures.

Because the KornShell is used in all our automation scripts, it is essential for a working TSAMP.

How do you handle a full /tmp?
Do you have a critical alerting?
Are you doing a housekeeping?
Can we change the directory to an own ksh-tmpdir?

Greetings from Muenster
Manfred

    Hi Mani,

we monitor /tmp and other critical file systems with our monitor tools. In case of a shortage we have spare volumes which can be used to increase the FS size.

    Cheers,

    Thomas
